4 birdies helped Iain Charlton (Malton & Norton) to the Seniors Championship - just pipping Ian Norman (Fulford) on countback after a stunning 25 points on the F9 for Ian, unfortunately he couldn't quite maintain the momentum with a costly blob on the par 13th meaning he just missed out. Mark Hoal (Malton & Norton) made 8 pars and just 3 double bogeys in a remarkably consistent round to end the day with the highest score and the Reed Trophy- backing up his win in the Summer am-am just 10 days ago ! Impressive form.
The Pick Trophy winner will be announced in due course (with all other prize winners and placings) once I have obtained the scorecards...
Well played everyone and huge thanks Sue Proctor and Nick Marchant at Forest of Galtres for their hosting and support on the day - as well as Rhoda on catering, the Greens teams and starters ! Good
