A fascinating day's golf sees the Cross Trophy table taking shape after 6 events. A brilliant field of 132 players enjoyed the Oaks with Gavin and Ethan Crusher winning on the day with 43 points. The field behind was absolutely stacked - with just 2 points separating the next 25 pairs !!!! The Sharpley brothers had the best b9 (helped by Mal's birdie on 18) to help Forest Park keep the pressure on Heworth. The team scoring at the Oaks was also incredibly close - with 8 clubs scoring 81-84 points. At Forest Park - Paul Stancliffe / Jason Sims hit 6 birdies in their 45 points (with Stancliffe making 5 in the first 10 holes) helped the home club make 81 points in the Cross Trophy table - closing the gap to Heworth to just one point. Heworth retain the lead on 478 points, Forest Park have 477. Tadcaster (463) and Easingwold (461) sit in 3rd and 4th respectively. York (453) and The Oaks (451) are all in contention.
