Easingwold GC hosted an excellent field of 120 players, representing 11 of the 12 York Union Clubs, on Sunday in the Glencor Golf Holidays Cross Trophy 4. On a day when scoring was tough (with almost half the field unable to beat par) Graham Bradley / Chris Heselgrave and Peter Joliffe / Scott Moore-Howell from Tadcaster were able to overcome the windy conditions scoring 43 points. 5 pairs scored 42 points (3 of those pairs coming from Forest Park - to help them keep their nose in front after 3 rounds of the 12 game Cross Trophy season). Well played to Arran Reid / Mark Moore, Ken Tuite / Paul Stancliffe and Gary Nicholson / Terry Brown coming 5th, 6th and 7th respectively. Ahead of them were the ever reliable Ian Johnson and Steve Simpson from Malton & Norton (4th) and Steven Edwards and Stephen Cawthorn from the Oaks (3rd). The top 5 pairs are entered into the Glencor Golf Holidays prize vouchers draw at the end of the season - with both Johnson / Simpson and Joliffe / Moore-Howell already making two entries on the list !!
Huge thanks to Matt Dolling in the Pro Shop, all the starters and wider team at Easingwold and especially the Greens teams who had the greens rolling beautifully.
Onto York next week - with 160 entrants already and just two slots left at 2pm to complete the field !
